Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (HESCOM)

HESCOM is a state-owned electricity distribution company serving seven districts in northwestern Karnataka: Dharwad, Gadag, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Uttara Kannada, Haveri, and Belagavi. It was formed as part of Karnataka’s power sector restructuring, is responsible for supplying electricity to over 3.8 million consumers across 54,513 sq. km. The company focuses on improving distribution efficiency, reducing transmission losses, and expanding rural electrification. HESCOM operates under the administrative control of the Government of Karnataka and plays a vital role in powering industrial, agricultural, and residential sectors in the region.
